Ten trade unions, including the UK’s largest union UNISON, have called on the Prime Minister to end Britain’s military collaboration with Saudi Arabia, due to its repeated violations of international law in Yemen.

The unions also challenge the government’s idea that military support for Saudi Arabia is necessary to protect the cost of living: “escalating this war will make our bills more expensive. If the government is serious about tackling the cost of living crisis, it must get serious about diplomacy”.
